Position Title : Fire Alarm Service Technician

Duration : 03 Months with possibility of extension

Location : Lenexa, KS 66215

Shift hours : 01 shift hours (Mon Fri);

Summary :

We're looking for an experienced Fire & Life Safety Systems Technician

  • to join our team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and installing a variety of low-voltage systems at customer sites-including fire alarm systems, access control, nurse call, and paging systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role, values safety and customer satisfaction, and enjoys working independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities :

Respond to service calls related to system malfunctions or performance issues

Communicate with customer contacts to diagnose equipment and system problems

Service, repair, and troubleshoot Fire & Life Safety systems and related products, including multiple manufacturers' equipment

Interpret and work from blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and product manuals

Follow standard troubleshooting procedures and technical documentation to repair equipment

Install, commission, and test low-voltage systems according to specifications and codes

Maintain clear, accurate records of work performed using laptops or smart devices

Obtain customer sign-off on completed service work

Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled

Assist with training or mentoring junior team members

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications :

5 10 years of hands-on experience working with low-voltage systems, including :

  • Fire Alarm / Life Safety Systems
  • Access Control
  • Nurse Call
  • Paging Systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting

    Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters, digital analyzers, and commissioning tools

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, submittals, and manuals

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Additional Requirements

    Ability to carry and move tools and equipment weighing 50 70 lbs

    Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (up to 40 feet), and on ladders or scaffolding

    Willingness to work flexible hours, including

  • weekends
  • and
  • overnight travel
  • if needed
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

    Able to pass a

  • pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Must hold or obtain any licenses required by national, state, or local codes

    Commitment to following all company safety guidelines and procedures
