Overview

Alternative Power Generation (APG), a Willdan Company, is seeking a Construction Manager. APG is a national full- service design-build engineering, construction, and energy services company (ESCO).

We are currently looking for a motivated Solar Engineer to join our growing Engineering and Design team of highly specialized professionals. As part of the design team, you will support a variety of design efforts on substation, solar, microgrid and transmission and distribution projects for APG. The individual we are seeking should be highly skilled, articulate, motivated, self-managed, and a quick learner who can become part of the team. Responsibilities

• Actively participate in and conduct many phases of electrical systems design for photovoltaic projects, including, but not limited to : site investigations; CAD production; design and contract documents; basic specifications; and the construction administration process.
• Responsibleforthosedesigntasksassigned,andforqualityofworkindevelopingfinal construction documents from established concept designs or Design Development drawings.
• Heavyproductionload.
• Abilitytoindependentlycompletethefollowingengineeringtaskswithminimal guidance :
• DesigndraftingofelectricalconstructiondocumentsusingAutoCAD
• Electricaldistributiondesignandsinglelinepreparation
• Solarphotovoltaicdesign
• Voltagecalculationsandconductor / racewaysizing
• DetailedPVSystcalculations
• Utility coordination
• Code review
• Preparation of specifications
