Responsibilities

• Research building codes and standards for each project where applicable.
• Assist mentor in performing HVAC load calculations utilizing Trane Trace 3D plus or Carrier HAP software.
• Assist mentor in sizing ductwork and piping systems as applicable to each project.
• Assist mentor in preparation of mechanical construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD / Revit.
• Assist mentor with selection and scheduling of mechanical equipment applicable to each project.
• Review design documents with mentor or engineer prior to completion.
• Communicate with internal team members and external project team members as necessary to complete design.
• Attend at least one project site visit during the internship. Additional site visits as applicable for assigned projects are encouraged when necessary.
