OSHA certifications (preferred). Valid driver's license with ability to travel. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Ability to work additional hours to meet business plan goals. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); Procore knowledge is a plus. Ability to read and interpret drawings, verify subcontractor work accuracy, and ensure constructability. Effective communication, leadership, and supervisory abilities. About Us
Berks Construction Group is a National General Contractor who focuses on the following sectors : Retail, Big Box Retail, Restaurants, Medical Offices, Fitness, Health and Wellness, Dental, Urgent Care Facilities, etc. We perform Fit Outs / Retrofits & Ground Up construction. Berks Construction Group, LLC is a Commercial General Contractor and Construction manager with offices in PA & NJ. Our target regions are PA, NJ, NY, MD, DE, VA, CT. We employ some of the best talent in our geographic region and market place vertical.
Responsibilities
- Jointly responsible with the Project Manager for the overall success of the project. Responsible for meeting schedule, controlling costs, and managing manpower and equipment on assigned project. Provides continuous hands-on field supervision of all construction operations, including subcontractors and other construction-related personnel, directing them in the planning, scheduling, and execution of work on time, within budget, and with high standards of workmanship.
- Attains or exceeds profit goals and promotes workplace safety while meeting or exceeding owner's expectations. Promotes a positive company image. Is the leader on every project and is ultimately responsible for its operational success.
- Maintain the Schedule : develop and maintain weekly look-ahead schedules; coordinate with subs to ensure equipment and materials are on site as required to meet the schedule.
- Review progress, adjust work schedules, and request additional manpower from subcontractors as needed to maintain project schedule.
- Maintain knowledge of current plans, specs and submittal data (including authorized revisions); inspect work to ensure workmanship meets specifications and is on schedule.
- Maintain redline drawings and assist with constructability guidance and issue resolution.
- Lead the on-site team from construction start through project close; monitor on-site safety, cleanliness, and orderliness.
