Job Title : Shipping / Receiving Worker

Location : Brentwood New Hampshire 03833

Duration : 06 Months + (T emp to Permanent )

Candidate needs to have at least 2 years of forklift experience.

Description :

Shift : Sunday, Monday, Tuesday alt. Wednesday 5 : 40am-6 : 00pm

Please note : Training for the first 6-8 weeks will be 8am-4pm Monday-Friday

SUMMARY

This person is a member of a shipping / receiving crew that coordinates and expedites the flow of materials for production. You will move necessary materials to and from a production staging area to support individual daily work orders and shift schedules.

Responsibilities :

Lives the Safety Standard and meets all safety requirements. Safety is a condition of employment.

  • Participates in plant TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives - completing activities associated with TPM tasks.
  • Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with shift supervisors to determine material requirements to be staged.
  • Issues / requisitions and / or transfer materials from warehouse.
  • Compiles and maintains computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports and status and location of materials.
  • Operates a forklift to assist in loading and or moving material and products.

Requirements :

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Perform daily check list for forklift
  • Minimal of two-three years of forklift experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate.
  • Can and is willing to make decisions. Knows the chain of command to get support.
  • Regular attendance on site and the ability to rotate varying shifts.
  • Demonstrated desire to impact safety
  • Must be able to work independently or in a team atmosphere with minimal direct supervision
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Able to effectively communicate (read, write, speak, understand) English
  • Work with a computer to perform basic data entry
  • Must remain drug free
  • Exposure to dust / dirt / fumes / fiberglass
  • Industrial manufacturing environment with extreme temperature variation
  • Exposure to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable (hearing protection is provided)
  • Ability to wear applicable PPE for up to 12 hours
  • Must be able to work flexible rotating shift schedules
