Building Official

The Town of Eagle is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Official to lead our Building Department and help us maintain the safety, beauty, and integrity of our growing community. About the Role : As Building Official, you'll be responsible for overseeing all building inspections, plan reviews, code compliance, and permit issuance. You'll serve as the town's go-to expert on building safety and code enforcement while managing a small but mighty team.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on variety-whether you're inspecting commercial sites, advising contractors, presenting to town trustees, or reviewing new development plans, no two days are the same.

Hiring Range : $107,734 - $134,667 Annually

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the building department and supervise inspection staff and permit technicians
• Perform detailed field and office inspections for residential and commercial properties
• Review construction plans for compliance with local, state, and national codes
• Investigate code violations and unsafe structures; issue corrective actions as needed
• Work closely with the Community Development Team to ensure land use code compliance
• Provide expert advice to contractors, homeowners, and public officials
• Keep current with code changes and attend public meetings as required
