Warehouse Worker - Day Shift $21 / hr

Join our team as a warehouse worker, where you will play a crucial role in managing freight flow within our busy warehouse environment. You will primarily work in the unloading and receiving department, with flexibility to cross dock or assist in the shipping area as needed. This position requires manual handling of freight as you unload 18-wheelers, palletize materials, and utilize conveyance systems.

Responsibilities

• Unload 18-wheelers at the assigned dock and palletize materials.
• Operate conveyance systems to process incoming products.
• Perform cross dock functions to move products directly to shipping.
• Manually handle freight without using mobile equipment.
• Identify, separate, count, combine, and scan freight using warehouse management systems.
• Report unsafe conditions and damaged products to management.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Load trucks according to specific guidelines, ensuring proper material handling.
• Enter and locate information using computer or system communication devices.
• Write documents or reports as needed.

Work Environment

The warehouse is climate controlled, though temperatures may fluctuate near bay doors, requiring occasional work in varying conditions. Dress code includes jeans and shorts, with closed-toed shoes or boots being mandatory. Cell phones must remain out of sight during working hours, and ear buds are not permitted.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00 / hr.
