Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in a Level 2 Trauma Center, requiring robotic and ENT experience along with circulating and scrubbing skills.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based Operating Room within a Level 2 Trauma CenterCare for a diverse surgical patient population including all OR specialties except open heartShifts are nights, 3x12 hours, from 19 : 00 to 7 : 30Call required two times per scheduleRobotic, ENT, ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro cases involvedUses EPIC for charting; EPIC training provided if neededFloating required within the RN's skillset as neededRNs are expected to float within their skillset to other areas as needed based on hospital staffingResponsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a wide range of surgical procedures, excluding open heartOrientation includes EPIC and other facility-specific modules completed pre-start and annuallyFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyScrubs are provided by the facilityExpect to participate in call and provide coverage for 2 of 3 major winter holidaysLocals are accepted at the same rateHoliday scheduling and RTO policies are strictly enforced and changes to approved time off are not permitted after assignment startsRequirements
Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of submissionCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum of 2 years recent acute care OR experienceExperience with both circulating and scrubbing duties requiredRobotic and ENT surgical experience requiredOrtho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro surgical experience requiredAbility to work two of the three winter holidays as part of the assignment scheduleReferences required for considerationFormer staff must be separated from the health system for at least one year to be eligibleBenefits
