Must-Have : IV Conscious Sedation experience

Description :

IV Conscious Sedation experience required.

Inpatient and outpatient EGDs and colonoscopies, with some pulmonary cases (bronchoscopies), although these are very low volume.

Cases are done with nurse sedation and some with anesthesia.

Previous sedation experience required.

Nurses rotate between the pre / post-op area and procedure rooms.

Utilization of Olympus brand scopes and documentation in Cerner is standard.

Delivers care to patients undergoing digestive health procedures utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.

Provides high-quality care and services to various patient populations, including gastroenterology, cardiac, pulmonary, pain management, and neurology (lumbar puncture).

Estimated work week is 32 to 40 hours with variable shifts, either 0600 - 1430 or 0700 - 1530.

Call is required typically one day a week and every fifth weekend on call, with a 30-minute response time.
