Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of gym operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience as well as a financially successful club. Essential duties and responsibilities include :

• Assisting in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Assisting in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assisting with staff management and providing backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Assisting in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Member service oversight - ensuring staff is providing a superior customer experience at all times.
• Assisting in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
• Involved in all front desk related activities.
• Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with a variety of questions.
• New member sign-up.
• Taking prospective members on tours.
• Facilitating all member requests, issues, and questions.
• Assisting in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
• Assisting in ordering of supplies using a specific budget based on club requirements.
• Assisting in tracking statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, and annually).
• Backup support for any employee who is absent.
• Candidate should expect to work five days per week, and approximately a 40-to-45-hour work schedule depending on hourly or salary status.
