job_description.job_card.job_descriptionStarting October 13, 2025 Ongoing Patient Demographics : Adults (90%), Pediatrics (10% healthy peds only) Patient Volume / Census : Not specified Admissions : Not applicable Rounding : Not applicable Phone Consults : Not specified Case Mix : General Surgery, GI, Basic Pediatrics, Neuro, OB, GYN, Trauma (Level III), Ortho, Urology No. of Beds in Department : 380 beds (hospital total) Trauma Level : Level III EMR System : Cerner Office Equipment Available : Standard anesthesia equipment Specialty Backup Available : 24 / 7 Intensivist and Neuro support Support Staff Available : 21 CRNAs and 8 MDs in practice Reason for Coverage : Team Growth; Turnover Vacancy Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : No (full privileges required) Credentialing Timeline : 90 days Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered General Anesthesia (Adult and Pediatric healthy peds only) OB and Neuro Anesthesia Supervision of CRNAs and occasional solo cases Licenses : Active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC considered) Board : Board Certified or Eligible (within 3 years of residency) DEA : Active DEA Certification Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS Experience : Minimum 1 year in specialty Other Qualifications : Must be comfortable with General Cases, OB, and Pediatrics Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical cases, including general, neuro, OB, and ortho Supervise CRNAs while occasionally performing cases independently Take weekday and weekend in-house call shifts as needed Collaborate with surgical teams and intensivists for perioperative care Document all anesthesia-related procedures accurately in Cerner EMR
