  • The pay rate is 23.00 to 25.00 an hour
  • The job location is Clayton, NC. 25720

Monday through Friday : 6 : 00 am to 2 : 00 pm- Over time 5 : 00 pm

  • Must be available to work on Saturdays for OT

    • Job Description Machinist

    We are looking for a full time Machinist to operate a variety of machines in a fast-paced work environment. You will be tasked with producing new parts as well as modifying existing parts using Haas CNC mills as well as manual mills. Our machinists must possess superb attention to detail and have extensive knowledge reading part drawings. The goal is to ensure effective production operations and optimize procedures. The shift hours are 6 : 00AM to 2 : 40PM Monday through Friday and frequently have mandatory overtime during the week and Saturdays.

    Qualifications

  • Machine setup (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Make minor edits to G code and M code in NC files to update programs
  • Knowledge of HAAS controls, functions, and capabilities
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • understanding of quality control principles
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance and to bend or stand for entire shift.
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Use and read calipers, OD mics, ID mics, radius gages, and pin gages
  • Indicate vises to be accurate within .001
  • Perform setups using setup sheets or written instructions
  • Change tooling in machine
  • Inspect material for quality and correct dimensions according to print.
  • Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel
  • Understanding of common machine tooling, fixturing, and clamping.
