About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Site Superintendent to oversee on-site operations for a ground-up, wood-frame multifamily development in Poughkeepsie, NY . The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with hands-on experience managing construction sites, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Project Oversight
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Supervise subcontractors, coordinate materials, and monitor daily construction operations to ensure timely progress.
Schedule & Workflow Management
Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules to meet key milestones.Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.Budget Control & Value Engineering
Monitor and manage on-site budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.Identify opportunities for value engineering without compromising quality or safety.Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance
Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance across all project phases.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all work meets quality standards and design specifications.Team Leadership & Coordination
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to ensure productivity, safety, and quality performance.Serve as the main point of contact between on-site personnel and project management teams.Construction Documentation
Maintain daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and safety documentation.Utilize project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project ) for tracking progress and reporting.Qualifications
Experience : 3–5+ years in construction management or site supervision, with a strong background in wood-frame residential or ground-up construction .Technical Skills : Proficiency in Procore , Microsoft Project , and Microsoft Office Suite .Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering , or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).Core Competencies :
