Key responsibilities include overseeing the workforce and subcontractors, managing daily logs and project progress, coordinating equipment and material delivery, and ensuring all construction activities align with project plans and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Leadership : Supervise the day-to-day operations on a construction site, acting as the primary authority for all field-related activities.
Team and Resource Management : Oversee workers and subcontractors, creating schedules for both labor and materials, and allocating resources effectively.
Safety Oversight : Implement and enforce all safety measures on the job site to ensure a safe working environment.
Project Coordination : Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
Progress Monitoring : Monitor project milestones and daily progress, making adjustments to the schedule to meet construction deadlines.
Communication : Maintain daily logs of job site operations, report project progress to management, and facilitate communication between the site team and other stakeholders.
Problem-Solving : Address and resolve issues and unexpected challenges that arise during construction and clarify discrepancies by generating requests for information (RFIs).
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Construction Knowledge : A thorough understanding of trades and construction processes, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
