Wellbyrd - UX Developer

Location : Dallas, Texas

Schedule : Full-Time

Pay Range : Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Prototype

Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

  • Translate designs into HTML / CSS / JS prototypes to validate interactions.
  • User Research & Testing

    • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather actionable insights.

  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, focusing on clarity, efficiency, and delight.
  • Accessibility & Performance

    • Ensure interfaces meet WCAG accessibility guidelines.

  • Optimize layouts and assets for fast load times across devices.
  • Collaboration & Feedback

    • Partner with front-end developers, product managers, and operations teams to align on requirements.

  • Present design rationale, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and maintain a cohesive UX vision.
  • Stay Current

    • Research emerging UX trends, tools, and best practices.

  • Advocate for user-centered design throughout the organization.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of UX / UI experience, with a strong portfolio of web and mobile projects.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for prototyping.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for wellness and a user-centered mindset.

    • Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience integrating designs with booking / payment APIs.
  • Background in mobile-first design or Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for spa and wellness sites.
