Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Research Chemist III in  Irvine, CA  with a well-known industry leader.

In this role you will be responsible for packaging and labeling of multiple product lines, artwork review, managing implementation of new artwork and new packaging materials while minimizing scrap, evaluating and set-up of new packaging / label materials, maintaining accurate documentation, and compliance to cGMP practices.

This is a first shift position.

As a Lab Research Chemist III  you will :

• Understand artwork and packaging processes and impact of changes on product labeling
• Review and approve artwork and packaging materials per regulatory and design requirements and ensure information is accurate (be able to identify misspelling, ensuring regulatory symbols, shades and branding matches requirements, ensuring correct placement and alignment and fitment is in the allocated space)
• Manage the change process for implementing new artwork and packaging materials per standard procedures while minimizing scrap
• Update standards and BOM for processing product
• Work with planners to manage phase in and phase out of artwork and packaging materials
• Interact with packaging software and hardware systems to implement changes in packaging and labeling
• Document per cGMP practices

This is a full-time contingent opportunity

Estimated Duration 24+ months
