CNC Machinist

A manufacturing company in Cary, IL is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with a strong background on lathes (more than mills) to join their dynamic team.

Requirements of the CNC Machinist

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience, primarily on lathes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools
  • Understanding of basic shop math, including decimal and fraction conversions

Responsibilities   of the CNC Machinist

  • Setup and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce parts according to print specifications
  • Operate machines including Haas, Takasawa (Fanuc controls), Bridgeport, Hardinge, and Okuma lathes and mills
  • Interpret engineering drawings and setup documentation to understand tolerances and tooling requirements
  • Make program and offset adjustments as needed to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance and properly care for tools and equipment

    • 1st shift,  DIRECT HIRE

    Pay is $28.00 - $35.00 an hour, based on experience
