About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Experience : Minimum years of experience required

License : Current licensure as registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio

Certifications : Biennial renewal of licensure as registered nurse required

Must-Have :

• Knowledge of professional registered nursing procedures
• Understanding of state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures related to nursing
• Skills in operation of medical equipment

Description :

Provides professional nursing care to patients in various settings.

Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.

Makes nursing rounds and takes vital signs.

Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatment plans.

Monitors patients requiring restraint.

Provides immediate medical attention to emergencies.

Counsels patients regarding the need for medical referrals.

May schedule, assign, and review work of lower-level staff.

Participates in staff development and education activities.

Reviews care plans written by staff and trains or orients new employees.

May be responsible for health care of multiple patients in need of attention.

Evaluates care needed and provides direct nursing care as required.

Performs specialized procedures such as IV therapy and wound care.

Organizes and oversees emergency response teams.

Directs health care staff assigned to specific areas.

Performs clerical tasks including charting and report documentation.

Arranges for outpatient clinic appointments and medical examinations.

Maintains inventory of medications and medical supplies.

Serves as a liaison within the organization and attends meetings as needed.

Serves as an instructor or participant in problem-solving teams as required.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with both abstract and concrete variables.

Writes meaningful, concise, and accurate reports.

Gathers, collates, and classifies information effectively.

Demonstrates physical fitness as required for the position.
