Payroll Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll accounting tasks, ensuring accurate ledger entries, and maintaining comprehensive accounting files. This role requires a proactive individual who is adept at preparing payroll reports and facilitating audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post ledger entries with earnings and deductions.
• Prepare and post accrued payroll, vacation, annual bonuses, and severance.
• Initiate wire transfers and ACH payments for any off-cycle manual payroll, if needed.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts monthly, ensuring timely completion.
• Maintain accounting files, records, and schedules.
• Produce ad hoc and recurring payroll reports.
• Prepare and post entries to bill out allocated compensation to managed properties.
• Serve as a point of contact for compensation-related queries.
• Evaluate processes and procedural documents for increased efficiencies and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Document and update payroll procedures.
• Prepare and post entries of medical benefits allocations.
• Assist with compensation forecasting and annual budgets.
• Assist the Payroll department and HR with GL mapping of deductions and earnings codes.

Work Environment

The position is based at the headquarters location. Ideally, the candidate will work in the office four days per week and remotely on Fridays.

This is a Contract position based out of Irving, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
