South Georgia Gastroenterology Physician Locums Job

Our client in South Georgia is seeking a Gastroenterologist to assist with ongoing coverage. The hospital is also recruiting for a new permanent physician if you're looking for a new opportunity as well. Currently, the hospital is looking for outpatient advanced procedure coverage. Schedule : Monday-Friday, 4 procedures days, 1 / 2 day outpatient clinic and 1 / 2 day administrative time.

Details / Requirements for Assignment :

• Coverage request : Looking for candidates that can offer 2 weeks per month availability
• Ongoing request, for at least the next 6-12 months.
• Location : Southwest Georgia
• Active Georgia license and current Board Certification required
• All outpatient coverage. Looking for general and advanced procedures coverage. Will see a case mix of 60 / 40 general and advanced procedures.
• Advanced procedures they're looking for are : ERCP, EUS, EMR, Banding, Enteroscopy, Dilation of the esophagus
• There is one APP you'll supervise
• No call
• On procedure days you'll see 15-16 cases and on 1 / 2 day procedure days about 8 cases
• If the physician is productive enough, they can allow for you to flip rooms (assign 2 procedural rooms to work out of)
• You'll also be allotted 4-hours of administrative time per week to ensure all notes and Pathology reports are complete
• Must be comfortable with conscious sedation, CRNA's are not available during the day
• Their EMR is Meditech
