NICU Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced NICU Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at our prestigious healthcare facility in Sacramento, CA . In this critical role, you will provide specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes for our tiniest patients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of neonates in the NICU, including physical examinations and vital sign monitoring.
• Develop, implement, and manage individualized care plans for each patient, collaborating with neonatologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide direct care, including administering medications, performing procedures (e.g., intubation, central line placement), and managing ventilator settings.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making timely adjustments to care plans based on clinical findings and best practices.
• Offer education and support to families regarding their infant's condition, treatment options, and care needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings to discuss patient care and enhance service delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.
• Stay current with advancements in neonatal care, guidelines, and best practices.
