Sanitation Supervisor
As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth operation of sanitation processes, maintaining equipment integrity, and adhering to food safety standards. Your role will involve supervising a team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and collaborating with management to optimize sanitation practices.
Responsibilities
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions to maintenance.
- Ensure all machine guards are securely in place; address or report any discrepancies.
- Quickly report accidents or safety issues following company protocols.
- Monitor daily tasks of the team to ensure timely completion and compliance with food safety standards.
- Verify that all cleaning tasks are completed effectively and meet visual standards.
- Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with company, union, and legal guidelines.
- Recommend training or promotions for high-performing team members.
- Assist with performance reviews and address team concerns.
- Collaborate with the sanitation manager to approve time-off requests while maintaining team coverage.
- Maintain medical paperwork compliance in line with HIPAA regulations.
- Support the manager in monitoring attendance and enforcing company policies.
- Ensure all cleaning practices adhere to company, union, city, state, and federal regulations.
- Comply with OSHA, GMPs, Safety, and HACCP guidelines.
- Collaborate with other supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Be prepared to undertake additional tasks as directed by management.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience.Experience in sanitation or food safety.Leadership experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Paycor is a plus.Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and extended hours.Strong communication and coaching skills.Openness to learning new skills.Mechanical or technical skills are advantageous.Task-focused with strong analytical abilities.Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and comfortable climbing ladders.Good hand coordination for working with tools and machinery.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role involves working on the manufacturing floor with ovens and a distribution area. The environment is not temperature-regulated, becoming hot when ovens are in use and cold on the docks during winter. The work schedule is the second shift from 2 PM to 10 PM, Tuesday through Friday, and 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays. Initial training will be for two weeks from 12 PM to 8 PM.
