PCU Nursing Job Details Location : Dayton, Ohio (45409) – Ohio nursing jobs Contract Length : 13 weeks travel contract Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : January 26, 2026 Shift : Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820-$1950 Unit : Neuroscience / High-Risk Respiratory (36 beds) Patient Ratios : 1 : 4-6 Scrub Color : Navy Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1.5 years of recent PCU or Stepdown RN experience (ICU experience does not substitute) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – any state; compact nursing licenses accepted BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Online EKG / tele competency assessment required prior to start EPIC charting experience required Ventilator experience required Travel nursing experience preferred IV start experience preferred Ability to float to other units / campuses as needed Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required Available to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled PCU Nurse Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological and high-risk respiratory conditions Manage patient ratios of 1 : 4-6 in a team or primary nursing model Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy Care for patients with CVA, TIAs, seizures, brain tumors, spinal surgeries, and complex neuro diseases Operate advanced respiratory equipment : heated high flow, BiPAPs, trach / vents Float to other units / campuses as assigned, including high-risk respiratory / COVID units and Neuro ICU Complete required orientation, modules, and assessments Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records Follow all facility policies, infection control, and safety protocols Apply now to join our healthcare team as a PCU Registered Nurse in Dayton, Ohio, and start your travel nursing journey today!
