Program Support Office OCC Administrator

The Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) Operations Contract (NOC) II seeks an experienced Operations Control Center (OCC) administrator. The chosen candidate must have prior NASA contract experience and be available for daily, full-time on-site presence at the NASA facility in Houston, TX. The OCC Administrator reports directly to the Program Support Office (PSO) Senior Manager and is accountable and responsible for numerous daily administrative activities, including facilitation and communication of real-time operational events and status. The chosen candidate must be well-versed in critical administration in an operational environment. In addition, the OCC Administrator serves as the face of the NBL to all non-residents, including domestic and foreign dignitaries. As such, it is critical that the chosen candidate have a passion for customer service and excellent interpersonal skills. Given the operational and real-time environment, the chosen candidate will also possess demonstrated capability and history of effectively multi-tasking. Relocation is not available for this position.

Major Job Activities :

Administrative tasks relating to NBL Operations and Events (70%)

Coordination with JSC Security and related badging services (10%)

Administrative support to NBL organizations (20%)

Material & Equipment Directly Used :

Office equipment / PC

Working Environment :

Primarily an office environment. Due to the work location, occasional and brief presence or walk-throughs of high bays or machine shop environments may be experienced.

Physical Activities :

Office environment. Lifts of >

20 lbs not required.

Qualifications :

Education / Certifications : One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

High School Diploma or GED

Experience :

3+ years of experience

Experience on NASA contracts and operational environments

Skills & Technology Used :

MS Office Products

Advanced communication and interpersonal skills

Supervisory / Budgetary Responsibilities :

None
