Assistant General Manager Expectations :
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for aiding in the oversight of all operations. This position will be held to the highest professional and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily restaurant service operations to ensure a seamless, efficient, and exceptional guest experience.
- Take full responsibility for the performance and development of the service team; provide ongoing training and coaching to ensure all staff operate at company standards.
- Commit to maintaining operational excellence and actively pursue profit expansion through efficient and effective management practices.
- Assist the General Manager in managing both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Support recruitment, training, scheduling, and mentoring of restaurant staff.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across service and operations.
- Execute administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, and conducting performance reviews.
- Monitor service standards and address operational challenges proactively to maintain consistency and quality.
- Assist in managing labor costs, inventory control, and adherence to health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to meet financial and operational goals.
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned, leading shifts and supporting staff during service. This role will require closing the restaurant 5 days.
- Lead all restaurant operations in the absence of the General Manager.
- Assist with vendor relations, reporting, and other administrative duties as delegated by the General Manager.
- Participate in implementing marketing initiatives and in-venue events in collaboration with the marketing team.
