itD is seeking a Taxonomist IV to join our Technology Practice Group. Strong preference for onsite in Seattle, WA, but open to remote (preference for PST). This is an exciting role for the right individual to continue to cultivate your skills and domain expertise.The individual selected will be instrumental in helping us continue to deliver excellence to our base of marquee Fortune 500 accounts.You will also interact closely with our itD Practice Directors, who will partner with you and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring.itD offers medical benefits, 401k, paid holidays and more!The internal responsibilities will be as follows :
- Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
- Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
- Complete client case studies and learning material. (Blogs, media material).
- Build out material to contribute to Digital Transformation practice.

- Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
The main function of a Taxonomist is to develop and iterate on a marketing communications taxonomy; partnering with other taxonomists and stakeholders to define updates, implement, communicate about, and define labeling standards for the taxonomy.Job Responsibilities :
- Expand the communications taxonomy for Reality Labs
- Coordinate and build alignment with teams and stakeholders Reality Labs to optimize for consistency and interoperability
- Develop, manage, maintain, and iterate on the taxonomy
- Make recommendations about ongoing taxonomy management as well as product strategies and features that rely on taxonomy
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and valuable insights
- Partner with PMs, engineers, data scientists, data engineers to oversee the taxonomy experience
Required qualifications and skills
- Expert ability to use taxonomy management systems to maintain categories, attributes, and other data
- Expert ability to move fast and work with cross-functional teams on big, ambiguous problems
- Expert ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
- Expert ability to build alignment amongst distributed stakeholders and develop ongoing communications and buy-in plans
- Experience in building and shipping taxonomiesPreferred qualifications and skills
