Job Accountant

Responsibilities

Perform various financial reporting and analysis activities

Preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and inter-company transactions

Analyze trends in forecast and variances to budget

Effectively communicate financial outcomes and results of analysis performed

Participate in process improvement initiatives and other projects, as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

2+ years of accounting experience required, public accounting background preferred

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and experience in preparation of periodic financial reporting packages

Proven ability to meet deadlines, detail-orientated

Strong excel and analytical skills

Insurance industry experience is not required
