Parks & Recreation Maintenance Worker I
Under basic supervision, the Parks & Recreation Maintenance Worker I performs a variety of entry-level duties related to the maintenance, care, and improvement of City parks, athletic fields, facilities, and landscaped areas. Work assignments may vary depending on seasonal needs and team priorities within the Parks & Recreation Department.

Work is performed primarily outdoors across City parks and recreation facilities. Duties require frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, hazardous materials, tools, and equipment. The position requires standing, walking on uneven surfaces, bending, lifting, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasional exposure to infectious materials may occur during cleaning and maintenance tasks.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in park maintenance, landscaping, or facility maintenance preferred.
Must possess a valid State driver's license.
Park and facility maintenance practices and procedures.
Safe use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hand and power tools.
Applicable local, state, and federal laws, codes, and regulations.

Operating lawn care, landscaping and maintenance equipment.
