UXO Technician III

Overview

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented UXO Technician III for employment in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Qualified candidates must be available to start onboarding on November 3, 2025. Deployment to Kuwait will follow, with pre-hire activities (drug screen, background check, etc.) required by mid-October 2025.

Responsibilities

• Performs reconnaissance and classification of UXO, identifying U.S. and foreign-guided missiles, bombs and bomb fuzes, projectiles and projectile fuzes, grenades and grenade fuzes, rockets and rocket fuzes, land mines and associated components, pyrotechnics, military explosives, and demolition materials.
• Supervises the location of subsurface UXO using military and / or civilian magnetometers, and supervises the following : excavation and recovery of subsurface UXO; construction of engineering controls; location of surface UXO by visual means; transportation and storage of UXO ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws; disposal of UXO by burning or detonation; and UXO-related storage compatibility.
• Supervises the donning and doffing of PPE and maintenance and operator checks on all team equipment.
• Prepares UXO-related administrative reports and maintains a daily logbook.
• Conducts daily team safety and task hazard analysis briefings.
