Salary : $28.00 – $39.00 per hour, based on experience

OUR CLIENT

On behalf of our client, we are offering an opportunity to join a growing team in St. Louis, specializing in alternative fuel systems.

We are looking for an experienced technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background, ideally with hands-on experience working on compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen fueling systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, installation, maintenance, and repair of alternative fuel equipment to ensure compliance, safety, and performance standards are consistently met.

Daily responsibilities will include diagnosing technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, documenting service work, and collaborating with team members to support the safe, efficient, and sustainable use of alternative fuels in various transportation and energy systems. The role also involves occasional field service calls and participation in safety and regulatory training programs.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanics or electrical systems
• Experience maintaining or repairing alternative fuel systems (CNG, LNG, hydrogen, propane, or related)
• Knowledge of fuel storage, delivery, and safety protocols
• Comfortable using diagnostic tools, schematics, and industry-standard software for troubleshooting and reporting
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL or ASE certifications are considered an asset
