Compliance & Administrative Assistant (Remote)
Overview
The Compliance & Administrative Assistant will provide part-time, remote support to Athena’s Compliance team in delivering full-service compliance solutions to healthcare clients. This role combines administrative assistance with compliance support functions to help maintain and strengthen clients’ Corporate Compliance Programs, aligned with federal and state healthcare regulations and guidance from the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and compliance support to Athena associates and client teams.
- Assist with data entry, tracking, and documentation in compliance software systems such as MediTract.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare meeting materials, take notes, and distribute follow-ups.
- Maintain organized electronic filing systems and ensure proper version control for compliance documents, reports, and policies.
- Help monitor compliance activities, including tracking physician compensation, audit results, and training completion.
- Assist in drafting, formatting, and revising compliance-related reports, policies, and presentations.
- Assist with ongoing compliance monitoring and documentation.
- Prepare and send internal communications, reminders, and updates related to compliance activities.
- Manage calendars, coordinate conference calls, and assist in preparing agendas for committees or board meetings.
- Track deadlines and follow up on outstanding items or assigned action steps.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support compliance and administrative operations.
Qualifications
High school diplomaMediTract experience or equivalent required.Prior experience as an administrative assistant, office coordinator, or compliance support role (healthcare experience a plus).Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfortable learning new software tools.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or restriction.Work Environment
Full-time position, but would entertain part-time for the right candidate.Fully remote role; must maintain a professional, quiet workspace with reliable internet access.Occasional virtual meetings with Athena team members and clients may be required.
