Thermal Engineer

Overview

We\'re seeking a Thermal Engineer to join our client, a global leader in the green energy sector. This is an employee-owned company located in Somerville, NJ, where your contributions will make a real difference.

The ideal candidate will have a BS or Master\'s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in process design, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and control & instrumentation. Experience with finite element flow modeling is preferred.

Salary : $120,000 - $135,000 per year

Work hours : 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the design, specification, and selection of thermal equipment used on Air Cooled Steam Condensers for power plants.
• Verify thermal, process, and noise design complies with technical specifications.
• Generate thermal performance curves, step control curves, wind correction curves, thermal datasheets, process flow diagrams, etc.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for pipe and duct sizing.
