Objective of the Role

The Sr Manager of Real Estate – West Coast will drive the company’s market expansion strategy, focusing on securing retail leases in top-tier shopping malls. The objective is to enhance brand presence and create clusters around existing locations while ensuring optimal store placements based on foot traffic and neighboring store dynamics.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in negotiating retail leases specifically for shopping malls, with a proven track record in the fashion retail sector. An extensive network of relationships with mall operators and developers is essential, paired with a hands-on approach to market analysis and lease negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the retail lease negotiation process, ensuring favorable terms for the company’s brands.
  • Develop relationships with regional mall operators, including Westfield, Brookfield, and Simon.
  • Conduct fieldwork to assess foot traffic and validate potential store locations.
  • Focus on market expansions that align with existing stores, particularly in NY, NJ, FL, TX, and CA.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and performance of new store openings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare for new market entries and store openings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in retail leasing, with a focus on shopping malls.
  • Established relationships with mall operators and brands in the fashion sector.
  • Experience in negotiating retail leases, with a solid understanding of location dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Willingness to travel across the West Coast to evaluate markets and locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
