Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile / field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various truck equipment including electrical, braking, cooling systems, starters / alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and more.
• Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.
• Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre- / post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve issues, and meet expectations.
• Manage concurrent tasks, prioritize work activities and time allocations effectively.
• Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts and jacks.
• Document work according to company standards and upload photos of work performed, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other required documentation in a timely fashion.
• Work independently and manage daily schedule with high productivity, aiming to meet standard repair times.
• Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for repairs.
• Communicate with management and support teams via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers, and discuss RO findings.
• Perform all work in compliance with safety, health and environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
