Purpose of Job

Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Sales associates maintain the condition of the sales floor, ensuring that it is clean and shoppable.

Job Components

• Provides fast, friendly service
• Actively seek out customers
• Offer a friendly greeting, smile, and make eye contact with customers
• Ask open ended questions in order to determine their needs
• Show interest in the customer
• Is knowledgeable about products
• Answer questions about merchandise
• Describe features and benefits of merchandise
• Drives sales
• Discuss available options (good, better, best)
• Suggest related items
• Set and achieve personal sales goals
• Ensures department is in-stock, clean, and shoppable
