American Traveler is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer with strong vascular and OBGYN skills for a variable day and evening shift assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital setting on the ultrasound unitCare for both adult and pediatric patients in inpatient, outpatient, ED, OB, and vascular areasAverage caseload of 8-12 scans per dayVariable day and evening shifts until midnight, including rotating call requirementsSpecific shift times include 06 : 00-16 : 30, 07 : 00-17 : 30, 08 : 00-16 : 30, 11 : 00-23 : 00, and 16 : 30-00 : 00Weekend rotation includes one 24-hour weekend call shift per month, with additional weekends availableWeekday call is from 00 : 00 to 06 : 00, typically 3-4 times per monthSchedule may include holiday coverage as needed in rotationFloating between multiple care areas as neededUses Cerner EMR system and Samsung RS85 Prestige equipmentFree parking availableResponsibilities include performing diagnostic, vascular, OBGYN, and general ultrasound scans in various settingsSupport is provided by lead technologists and physicians on unitApproximately two weeks of orientation provided, with 4-5 shifts per weekMust be willing to float and adapt to multiple care areas as requiredScrubs may be any professional colorMust be willing to participate in a rotating call and holiday scheduleFlu vaccination is required for assignments starting 9 / 30 / 2024 or later, with medical exemptions reviewed on a case-by-case basisFirst-time travelers will not be considered for this assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 4 years experience as a sonographer, with vascular, OBGYN, and ABD expertiseBLS certification requiredARDMS certifications in ABD and OB / GYN requiredVascular certification preferredPrior pediatric experience requiredExperience in critical care settings preferredMinimum 1 year experience in the specialty requiredCompact or Maine state sonography license required if applicableMust not have worked previously in a permanent capacity at any Northern Light Health HospitalEligibility restricted to candidates whose permanent address is 100+ miles South / Southwest of EMMC Bangor, Maine\n Benefits\n
