A well-established real estate law firm in Charleston is seeking a Part-Time Law Clerk to join our team. This role is ideal for a current law student or recent graduate looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in civil litigation and real estate law.

About the Role :

As a Law Clerk, you’ll work closely with experienced attorneys and legal staff, assisting with legal research, document preparation, and case management. You’ll have the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in real estate law, civil litigation, and court procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on real estate and civil litigation issues
  • Review and summarize property title records and tax sale information
  • Assist with preparing legal pleadings for quiet title actions
  • Organize and manage case files and documentation
  • Support attorneys with court preparation and general case work

What We’re Looking For :

  • Current law student or recent JD graduate (3L preferred)
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Interest in real estate law or civil litigation is a plus
