User Experience Designer (Mid-Level)
to work on-site in support of a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active TS / SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversees all visual design efforts to support general accessibility and Section 508 compliance.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key peers in marketing, branding, UX leaders, IT leaders, and others to identify and plan creative solutions.
- Develops proof-of-concepts and prototypes of easy-to-navigate user interfaces (UIs) that consist of web pages with graphics, icons, and color schemes that are visually appealing to provide a consistent look and feel that incorporates user experience feedback.
- Ensures the use of responsive designs based on current best practices.
- Develops, maintains, and ensures compliance of application release management, outage management, and change control processes and standards.
- Defines, creates, communicate, and manage resource plans and other required project documentation, such as style guides, and provide updates as necessary.
- Show familiarity with code, test, and debug documents and implement web applications using a variety of platforms.
- Plan, recruit, and facilitate usability testing of a system. Analyze and synthesize results of usability testing to provide recommendations for change to a system.
- Support up to 12 Accessibility Liaison events to include presentation, meeting minutes, and follow-up action items.
- Provide customer service desk support for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) accessibility complaints and ICT Accessibility testing.
- Support and lead accessibility related trainings to include Section 508 awareness, Creating Accessible Documents, and Fundamentals in Accessibility Training (FIAT) (up to 50 total trainings in a year).
- Support and provide subject matter expertise and customer support to system owners and technical personnel to ensure 100% of ICT systems are tested for Section 508 compliance and meet SharePoint site testing goals.
- Create and execute project plans, communication plans, and refined communications products for overall technology governance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with working-level stakeholders within and outside of the client, to include external partners.
Required Skills And Qualifications
TS / SCI security clearance.Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. In the absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.5+ years of relevant experience.Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Section 508-compliant designs, with a strong understanding of accessibility principles, usability testing, and inclusive design standards.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including UX, IT, and communications teams, to deliver cohesive, user-centered digital experiences.Strong attention to detail and ability to create, maintain, and enforce visual design standards, style guides, and documentation that support consistent branding and user experience across platforms.Full-Time Employee Compensation
M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.M9 Benefits.$60,000 - $180,000 USD
