Job Description

Target Pay Rate : $21.41 / hr (salary will be commensurate with experience)

This position performs routine testing on all samples in the Analytical Services laboratory, providing analytical data for process control, quality control, process development, product development, and waste management. Employee will be required to work eight-hour shifts, rotating days every three to four months. KC Quality Control lab operates 24 hours on three shifts.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing as directed by protocols and work instructions.
• Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Request additional work to increase team productivity.
• Prepare solutions, clean glassware, dispose of waste, and assist in lab operations.
• Train others on waste management.
• Alert lab leadership of issues involving sample integrity, inventory, safety, or analysis irregularities.
• Communicate troubleshooting opportunities.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and operate Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and other instrument-specific systems.
• Search databases for test methods and standards.
• Record, calculate, and report results accurately.
• Review analytical data and reports.
• Communicate testing results and issues with team and supervisor.
• Complete data entry and participate in process improvements.
• Notify team of supply levels and participate in safety programs.
• Maintain knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and safety protocols.
