The Pharmacy Technician In-Training supports pharmacists and lead technicians in delivering pharmaceutical care and service excellence. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in medication distribution, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory control, and administrative support.

The Pharmacy Technician In-Training

Assists in preparing and distributing medications, IV solutions, and supplies.

Supports sterile and non-sterile compounding per USP

standards.

Manages inventory, restocking, and documentation of medications and supplies.

Compiles medication histories and reconcile patient records.

Schedules meetings, compiles data and maintains files.

Communicates with internal departments and external customers.

What We Require :

Education : A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Licensure, certification, and / or registration : Registration with state board of pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee.

Other Minimum Qualifications : Familiarity (including strengths, dosage forms, and uses) with a large number of medications. Attention to detail and accuracy. Must have basic computer skills. Basic mathematical and logistical problem solving skills. Must be able to effectively budget time, work efficiently and accurately, and follow procedures with minimum supervision. IV Admixture technicians must complete a course of instruction in sterile product preparation and demonstrate competency.

Addendum for ASHP-Accredited Program. Candidates must : demonstrate proficiency with the English language (reading, writing and speaking) with an assessment completed during the interview, demonstrate math proficiency with an assessment completed during the interview, submit a personal statement (approximately 250 words) describing interest in the program as part of the initial application for the position, be eligible for registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the state board of pharmacy.
