The annual base salary range for this position in California is $100,000 to $115,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education / training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.
The Contract Manager, as a member of the OC Sports & Entertainment legal department, is responsible for the management of the administration and workflow of contracts handled by the legal department, including leveraging AI solutions through the Company's CLM system. This role supports the legal team by maintaining accurate contract documentation, tracking key obligations, and mitigating contractual risk. The Contract Manager collaborates closely with technology, procurement, finance, and operational teams to minimize risk, ensure compliance, and support business objectives and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company's contract management system.
Responsibilities
- Support the legal and risk management team in the drafting of templates, finalization and management of a variety of contracts
- Monitor and manage the process around a wide variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, service agreements, SOWs, NDAs, and amendments
- Administer the Company's contract management system and maintain Company's documents therein, including ensuring workflows are updated, intake forms and processes are accurate, uploaded agreements are complete, and users are trained, all in coordination with the master administrator at Company's parent company, leveraging and implementing emerging technology to gain efficiency and accuracy
- Track key contract terms, renewals, obligations and maintain form banks, knowledge libraries and department policies and procedures
- Assist attorneys to ensure contracts align with company policies, legal requirements, and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, provide guidance, and ensure timely execution of contracts
- Serve as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries, issue resolution, and interpretation of terms
- Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions, and escalate concerns when necessary
- Assist in developing and improving standard contract templates, clauses, and processes
- Support internal audits and regulatory reviews related to contractual obligations
- Provide training to staff on contract management best practices and processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Law, Finance, or a related fieldJD or advanced degree a plus35 years of experience in contract management, legal operations, or procurementStrong understanding of contract law and legal terminologyExcellent technical, analytical, and organizational skillsProficiency with modern contract management systems and tools, including AIExceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneouslyEffective communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionallyThis position is on-site.
