Associate Producer

Join CBS News and Stations as Associate Producer to coordinate overnight news production and newsgathering operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage network's response to breaking news and video requests.
  • Clip and publish Newspath videos, assist in live video transmission.
  • Gather elements producers need to put together packages and voice‑over scripts.
  • Spot viral and pre‑trending content and turn it around for our brand.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years local and / or network TV news experience or show producer experience.
  • Strong editorial judgment and excellent writing skills.
  • Strong editing skills required.
  • Focus on multi‑media content.

    • Additional Qualifications

  • Highly developed relationship building skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of TV newsgathering and transmission technology.
  • Knowledge of regional television markets and station relationships a plus.
  • Degree in broadcast journalism or related field preferred.

    • Hiring Salary Range

    $62,000.00 – $66,000.00. Starting pay depends on geographic location and experience.
