Travel Nursing Job Details Job Title : PACU Registered Nurse – Travel Nursing Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment Healthcare Setting : Pre-Operative and Post-Operative (PACU) Location : Portland, Maine 04102 Start Date : September 1, 2025 End Date : November 29, 2025 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Hours per Week : 36 hours Shift : 12-hour day / evening shifts (7 : 00AM - 7 : 30PM) Weekend Hours : Every other Saturday scheduled Call Requirements : Rotating call, every other weekend Float Requirements : Willingness to float to Bramhall PACU / IMC / ICU as needed Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020 PACU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 3 years of recent PACU nursing experience ICU nursing experience required Prior travel nursing experience preferred Ability to read tele strips BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Proficiency in Phase 1 Care, Cardiac Drips, IVs, Tele Monitoring, EKGs, and trauma Level 1 patient care Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative team player attitude Online education modules and unit orientation provided PACU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in pre-operative and post-operative PACU settings Monitor and manage patients recovering from Cath / EP, TEE, Cardioversion, OR procedures, vascular, robotic TAVRs, and pediatric CATHs Operate equipment including IV pumps, PCAs, epidurals, arterial lines, tele monitoring, and Epic EMR Maintain patient ratios of 2 : 1 in Phase 1 Care and up to 3-4 in 23-hour stay units Float to PACU, IMC, and ICU units as required Participate in rotating call and weekend coverage Comply with dress code (scrub color : any; fragrance-free; no artificial nails) Discover the best of Portland, Maine—enjoy its lively arts scene, renowned restaurants, and easy access to the stunning Maine coastline.
