Mainframe IMS Administrator contract opportunity available on-site with our client
in Plano, Texas.
We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe IMS Administrator to join our clients team. This role involves maintaining, supporting, and optimizing IMS database systems and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IMS administration, performance tuning, debugging, and incident / change management processes.
Responsibilities :
- Administer and support Mainframe IMS database systems and supporting tools
- Install, configure, and fine-tune IMS environments
- Perform complex database changes and manage application implementations
- Analyze, test, and implement changes to database software and data structures
- Provide performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Work within incident and change management frameworks
- Mentor junior database administrators
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to resolve data flow and integration issues
- Conduct proactive maintenance and ensure system integrity and performance
