Position Summary

We are looking for a Packaging Engineer to develop and implement packaging strategies that support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role involves designing packaging solutions, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in ensuring packaging meets engineering standards, supports product development, and aligns with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in engineering or logistics
Experience with change management and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Background in customer-focused packaging solutions

Required Qualifications

Post-secondary technical education or equivalent (2-year degree)

Minimum 3 years of experience in packaging engineering or logistics

Proficiency in CAD tools and engineering design

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations

Position Overview

Key responsibilities include :

Designing and implementing packaging strategies aligned with GKN standards

Creating prototypes and solutions based on operational needs

Collaborating with suppliers, facilities, and customers to ensure packaging efficiency

Supporting engineering standards and evaluating packaging effectiveness

Collecting and analyzing data to produce reports and recommendations

Identifying and resolving inefficiencies through continuous improvement

Assisting in project management for packaging development

Maintaining compliance with safety and environmental policies

Contributing to product development and customer order processing

Managing CRM data to support customer retention and service excellence
