We are seeking exceptional Teacher's Assistants, TA,Paraprofessionals for our year-round dayschoollocated in Geneva, IL. Hours are 8 : 15 AM to 3 : 15 PM, Monday-Friday.

Our hourly rate for Life Skills is $20.00 with no experience, $21.00with 2 years of Paraprofessional experience and up to $22.50 with 5years or more of Paraprofessional experience.

With a Bachelor's Degree our hourly rate for Life Skills is $21.00with no experience, $22.00 with 2 years of Paraprofessional experienceand up to $23.50 with 5 years or more of Paraprofessional experience.

About our school :

Marklund Day School is a non-public state-certified school thatpartners with area school districts to provide a highly specializededucation experience. The therapeutic, sensory-driven Multi-NeedsProgram serves individuals ages 3 through 21 with medical,developmental, and physical disabilities. Through the Life SkillsProgram, teachers and paraprofessionals provide individualizedfunctional curriculum and supports for students who are diagnosed onthe Autism Spectrum, specific learning disabilities, and developmental disabilities.

Summary of Duties :

• Assist teachers with classwork and the daily care of students withspecial needs.
• Provide direct care, attend In-services and other educationalfunctions as required.
• Keeps equipment in classroom in clean condition and provides safephysical environments for all students.
• Documents all goals / program which includes the daily participationrecords after completion of a task with a student.
• Works directly with the students one-on-one and in groups outlinedin the IEP's.
• Must successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training.
