About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : 2 years minimum required; first-time travelers accepted

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS, PALS required; CPI preferred

Must-Have :

• Experience with acute / chronic renal failure, anti-seizure medications, and respiratory diseases.
• Skills in caring for ventilated patients, central line management, and pediatric dosage calculations.
• Competence in interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.

Description :

The Registered Nurse will work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The role involves providing specialized nursing care to critically ill children.

The nurse will manage patients with congenital cardiac defects, respiratory diseases, and surgical needs.

Floating within specialty areas is required, including NICU and pediatric emergency departments.

Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled.

The nurse will routinely have a patient ratio of 1 : 2, with adjustments for intermediate care patients.

Participation in patient assessments, care planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected.

The environment will include the use of specialized equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps.

The ability to provide care for medically fragile patients and manage complex medical conditions is crucial.

Completion of compliance requirements prior to the start of the assignment is mandatory.
