Responsibilities : Job Summary
Explain procedures to the patient, collects necessary paper work, monitors and records study.Applies the international 10-20 System of Electrodes, polysomnograph set-up, oximeter calibration, and set-up of ancillary equipment.Performs Continuous Positive Airway Pressure or Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure device implementation and titration monitoring.Record review of polysomnograms is an integral part of the job.Reviews clinical competencies for procedures, equipment and documentationQualifications : Education
High school diploma or equivalent, registered by the national board of polysomnography technologist or hold credential of sleep disorder specialist by the national board of respiratory careLicensure / Certification
Basic cardiac life support (BCLS), continuing education in sleep diagnostic required per state regulations, accrediting organization or as determined by clinical education coordinator, registered polysomnography technologist by the board of polysomnography technologist (RPSGT).
