The Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the health team who provides direct preventative and primary care for pediatric, adults and geriatric patients under the collaboration with a licensed physician, according to Physician Assistant Protocol, and within the scope of the Physician Assistant license within the state of Wisconsin. Family Health Center provides comprehensive, integrated primary health care services for all, regardless of one’s background or circumstances. Care provided is related to health maintenance, acute care, and chronic disease management at the health center or in outreach settings including mobile services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational

qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required : Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.

Preferred / Optional : None

EXPERIENCE

Preferred / Optional : Three to five years’ physician assistant experience.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required : C urrent State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure. Current certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Mobile Care : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA). Or clinic : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Health Association (AHA) at time of hire. DATA-waiver prescription privilege (DEAX). Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department / location).
