Job Responsibilities of the Radiation Therapist
- Administer radiation treatments to patients in accordance with physician prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Prepare patients for radiation therapy procedures, ensuring proper positioning and patient comfort.
- Operate and calibrate advanced radiation equipment to deliver safe and effective treatments.
- Monitor patients during treatment sessions and respond to any concerns or reactions.
- Maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and patient progress notes.
- Ensure equipment safety and cleanliness, performing routine quality assurance checks.
- Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and medical physicists to ensure the accuracy of treatment plans.
Requirements of Radiation Therapist :
Education : Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy program is required.Certification : Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy is required.Licensure : Must hold a current Texas Radiation Therapy license or be eligible to obtain one.Skills & Abilities : Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-pressure, patient-centered environment.For more information on this full-time permanent Radiation Therapist position, Sonography Tech, Rad Tech, Nuclear Med Tech, Dosimetrist or Medical Physicists positions nationwide, please apply.
